Google Health’s AI system is able to identify cancer in mammograms with greater accuracy than specialists. In this next stage in the project we are working in partnership with the UK’s National Health system. Our partnership’s research program aims to evaluate the potential for artificial intelligence-enabled breast screening to improve accuracy, safety, cost-effectiveness, and patient experience, while demonstrating clinical acceptability and technical feasibility.
