Netflix Is Reviving These Iconic Cartoons

Your favorite childhood cartoons are being brought back by Netflix! Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

We are in the midst of the streaming wars as every big production company aims to capture the largest viewing audience — and a big piece of their wallet as well. This means that Netflix is not just reaching out to develop top-notch family programming, but directly to the nostalgic parents looking to share the same content they enjoyed as kids with kids of their own. Enter the reboot!

Welcome to the land of reboots. A land filled with new versions of your favorite shows, older cast members returning to their roots, and that whole island filled with all those Disney animated movies turned into live-action spectacles. As the land of reboots continues to grow and prosper in the world of Hollywood, it was only inevitable that Nickelodeon would join in on the mix. Instead of sandwiching reboots between episodes of SpongeBob Squarepants and The Loud House, the network decided to team up with Netflix to unleash some of our childhood favorites for a whole new generation.

For kids growing up in the 90’s, Nicktoons were everything. The expansion of shows included hits like Doug, Rugrats, and Ren and Stimpy. Then programming expanded as we enjoyed more hits like Ahh! Real Monsters, Hey Arnold, Rocket Power, and Rocko’s Modern Life. Each show had its own unique style which helped build the foundation for Nickelodeon and still sees its influence on the airwaves today.

And Netflix has found a great partner among them all by teaming up with Nickelodeon to revive some of your favorite 90’s cartoons along with a slew of other shows. Learn about these cartoons, some possibilities for the future, and a pair of Angry Beavers who could easily chomp their way back into our lives!

25 Grossest Scenes In Disney Movies

There are many Disney scenes that you shouldn’t think about too hard! Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

For some reason, kids are drawn to gross-out humor. Characters passing gas? Check. Slimy monsters? Check. Someone eating something strange? You know it. For Pixar’s debut with Toy Story, we got to see the world of toys come to life in some pretty impressive CG. So how would Disney follow this up? With maggots. The plastic spud is forced to spend the night in the sandbox and we hear about his experience the next day. After draining the extra sand from his body, Mr. Potato Heads talks about how isolating it was with the dark and a couple of Lincoln Logs just as Hamm chimes in to tell him they probably weren’t Lincoln Logs. We’ve all seen bug-eating scenes before — Timon and Pumbaa in the Lion King come to mind, but the 2000 film “The Emperor’s New Groove” takes things to a whole other level. During a restaurant scene, Pacha orders the Pill Bug, which gets served by the waitress as a “hot crispy pill bug”. If you thought slipping on a pair of bowling alley rental shoes was dirty, maybe you should give Cinderella a second look. As the Prince made his tour through the kingdom, he not only had various women try on the glass slipper — but they all did it barefoot. You know Lysol spray wasn’t a thing back in the day, meaning these girls exposed their dirty and sweaty feet to the glass slipper over and over again.

So it’s only natural for Disney to feature a collection of these gross scenes — and some scenes that probably weren’t even meant to be gross in the first place. So if you’re a germaphobe — be on the lookout because we are deep diving into Disney’s World of Grossness right…about…now!

Welcome back to ScreenRant! Quick warning: There will be major spoiler and rumor discussions for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. We’re talking some pretty big stuff. Possible plot twists — the movie ending — and a deep dive into the world of midi-chlorians. Still here? Good! Let’s go!

In The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, Rey has not only served as our main protagonist, but brought on a lot of confusion along the way. Is she a secret Skywalker? Why were her parents nobodies? Was Kylo Ren lying? Well, thanks to some plot leaks and new trailer footage from The Rise of Skywalker, we may finally have some answers as to why Rey has no parents and how the character is truly connected to Anakin and the whole Skywalker family. After the Force Awakens was released, Star Wars fans were left with one major question: who were Rey’s parents?

And now with the release of The Rise of Skywalker, we may finally learn why Rey’s were not revealed in The Last Jedi. The reason is she has none. Until the movie comes out, we will not have all of the details, but we can break things down and branch out to cover all of the different options. No matter which path we go down, they all lead to the Dark Side — specifically with Palpatine. And some of the huge footage released at the D23 expo helps build on this theory. What accumulates to about two seconds of footage has some huge implications. We see Rey wearing one of the evil hooded cloaks and holding a red dual-bladed lightsaber. The shot seemingly confirms that Rey’s dedication to the side of good may have only been temporary until Palpatine entered the picture.

Let’s dive head first into the swamps of the Dagobah and unravel this mystery!
