Marvel Cinematic Universe is a hub of interesting easter eggs. Fans have paused and rewatched each scene over and over again. While a tad obsessive, it’s also provided us baskets filled with easter egg references. Which we are very thankful for. In the video today, we are looking at some of the scrumptious easter eggs. But, not all of them. No, we will be looking at the easter eggs that have teased a future story, or character introduction. Yet they weren’t followed up on. Instead, they are left in a strange limbo of potential.

Some of these MCU easter eggs we’ll touch upon include the film rivalry between Marvel and the X-Men. Who at the time, were Fox’s property. Another segment we’ll look into is Odin’s treasure filled vault. This was originally a huge easter egg and had lots of potential until it was retconned later on. From there we can see an item that Thanos has a particular fondness for. The first film in the MCU, The Incredible Hulk, gave us a multitude of easter eggs. Yet with the Hulk no longer being played by Edward Norton, a lot of these easter eggs haven’t been touched on since. The Collector in the first Guardians Of The Galaxy helped us a lot in finding some of these references. His gathered prizes include a Russian Dog and an eighties Marvel film hero. So, from Iron Man, to the Avengers, to Doctor Strange, join us at ScreenRant as we go through all of the MCU’s references that haven’t led anywhere.

Whenever there is a massive amount of hype surrounding a major film such as Avengers: Endgame, every single little piece news, leaks and rumors is dissected by fans everywhere, pulled apart and analysed for any possible bit of info.

Casting rumors especially get people talking. Who could this person be playing? How could this role play into the larger plot?

All of these questions come up when talking about potential castings. As happened when it was announced that Katherine Langford was going to be in Endgame.

Wait wait wait, who exactly are you talking about? She wasn’t in the film.

You are right, random person reading this video description. She isn’t, because her scene was cut from the final edit of the film.

So who was she supposed to play? What role was she supposed to have in the plot of the film? Stay tuned, and we will talk about just that.

At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Chris Evans’ MCU version of Captain America got his happy ending, when he went back in time to return the Infinity Stones to their original points in history, but didn’t return.

Instead, he opted to seek out Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter in the 1940s, where he stayed and lived out a happily married life with her.

And that essentially means Cap lived out a whole life that we’ll probably never get to see – and in this video, we’ll run you through some of the things he might have done in that alternate timeline, as well as how and why he might have gone about it all.

Some of the things he might have done include: found his own frozen body, saved Bucky Barnes from HYDRA’s brainwashing, stopped HYDRA from infiltrating S.H.I.E.L.D., helped to prevent the Chitauri invasion and the creation of Ultron, made friends with the Ancient One, visited Thor in Asgard, become the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., chatted to Howard Stark about Tony, formed a new Avengers team that would actually have been a precursor to the more modern incarnation, become a vigilante superhero, got himself a normal job, retired completely to live out a happy home life in secret, or even had children with Peggy.
