Burning Sands takes you on a raw, voyeuristic journey of fraternity pledging through the eyes of one favored pledgee, who is torn between honoring a code of silence or standing up against the intensifying violence of underground hazing. Led by a breakthrough performance by Trevor Jackson, director Gerard McMurray’s feature directorial debut brings an emotional honesty to the classic tale of “rites of passage” and the complicated bonds of brotherhood.

Burning Sands, which also stars Alfre Woodard, Steve Harris, Tosin Cole, DeRon Horton and Moonlight’s Trevante Rhodes, was written by Christine Berg and Gerard McMurray and produced by Stephanie Allain, Jason Michael Berman, Reginald Hudlin and Mel Jones. Executive produced by Caroline Connor and Common.

Burning Sands will be launching on Netflix on March 10, 2017.

Lamborghini Huracan Performante revealed | 2017 Geneva Motor Show | Autocar

This is the Lamborghini Huracan Performante, which Lamborghini claims is the fastest production car to lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

Its time of 6m52.01s is five seconds faster than the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Which goes to show what you can do if you get a great driver, some lovely tyres and you don’t have to lug around a battery pack and electric motor with you. The Performante’s dry weight is just 1382kg, around 60kg less than a regular Huracan, while power is up by 30bhp to 631bhp (640 metric hp).

Other things to know? There will be no cap on production and the car will go on sale this summer priced at £213,000.

With 710bhp (720hp) the new 720S brings untold amounts of power to the class, where it’ll rival the Ferrari 488 GTB and the Lamborghini Huracan.

To go with the power comes an entirely new look featuring stacks of aerodynamic cleverness, a new carbon-fibre passenger cell and a heavily changed twin-turbocharged V8, of 4.0-litres instead of the 3.8-litre car.

But the Renault-owned sports car maker Alpine has returned, and its A110 is spiritually close to its famous predecessor.

The A110 is a small, lightweight two seat sports car with a 1.8-litre engine making 249bhp and driving the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

A leopard gets itself into a prickly situation when it tries to hunt down a porcupine. Tourists on safari in Kruger National Park in South Africa captured footage of the big cat facing the quilled defenses of its prey. The leopard is persistent and continues to give chase, forcing the porcupine to choose whether to stand its ground or make a crafty escape.

Range Rover Velar revealed | Geneva Motor Show 2017 | Autocar

The Range Rover Velar has had the wraps pulled from it at the 2017 Geneva motor show.

The new Velar will sit between the Evoque and Range Rover Sport in Range Rover’s line-up, and as the most driver-focused car in the range will compete squarely with the Porsche Macan.
