A wave of warm weather disrupts Chris Benchetler’s plans for a heli-skiing trip in British Columbia for Episode 3. Taking advantage of the world class warm-weather skiing offered in the Sierra Nevada, Chris invites long-time friends, Bryan Fox and Scotty Smith, to a backcountry camping adventure.

Benchetler’s crew and their love for the mountains shines through in this episode as they get creative building jumps over their campsite – making the most of the conditions. Skiing is all about having fun with your friends and exploring the world, as perfectly captured in this episode.

Drug Kingpin Pablo Escobar’s Hippos Are Alive and Well

Hippos are thriving in Colombia, more than 30 years after their arrival. In the 1980s notorious Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar brought the hippos to Colombia for his private ranch. The hippos thrived in an environment similar to their native lands, and today there’s a healthy population in the region. But while the hippos are a welcome sight to many, they can also be a nuisance. The massive animals can be seen wandering through city streets and even chasing locals. Cornrare, the Colombian environmental agency that cares for the animals, has recently tried curbing the population through castration.

When it comes to the fantastic, weird and wonderful world of comic book characters, it’s easy to think that they’re all entirely fictitious and created solely from the imaginations of talented writers. In some cases, that may well be true, but there are also some very real inspirations behind a lot of them.Obviously there’s nobody in the real world who can lift a building, travel around the world in ten seconds or take a bullet to the eye without suffering a horrific injury, but the personalities, appearances and lifestyles of many comic book characters are very much based on people who have really existed.This notion applies to superheroes, super villains and indeed supporting characters and we’ll look at some examples of all those in this video.
