Fellow co-main star Vitor Belfort announces his political aspirations during a live chat, homegrown athlete Cris Cyborg revels in her first UFC fight week experience, and Cyborg’s opponent Leslie Smith visits a botanical garden. Brazilians, including heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum, get a big boost from fans at open workouts, while title challenger Stipe Miocic receives a less-than-warm welcome. The fighters also begin their weight cut regimens, which range from handball practice to breathing exercises.
