الفنانين يلجأون إلي عادة تغيير الاسم باختيارهم لأسماء تساعد علي شهرتهم سواء كانت أحلي من أسمائهم الحقيقية أو غير ذلك، وعندما استعرضنا بعض الأسماء وجدنا أن بعضها أسوأ من الأسماء
الأصلية، فلا تتعجب عزيزي القاريء من هذه الأسماء وما آلت إليه من تغيير
عندما قررت إحدي الراقصات المعتزلات جر شكل راقصة أخري أثناء سفرهما علي متن طائرة واحدة
لأداء فريضة الحج قالت محدثة شخصا بجوارها بصوت مرتفع : كلها (عطيات) من عند ربنا، وبسرعة قالت الراقصة الأخري : والله (نحمده) علي كل شيء..
الراقصة الأولي هي المعتزلة هندية وهذا اسمها الفني أما الاسم الحقيقي فهو (نحمده) والراقصة الثانية هي فيفي عبده واسمها الحقيقي (عطيات عبد الفتاح).
ولعل أول الأسماء التي لفتت نظرنا وأثارت استغرابنا اسم غنيمة حبيب خليل، ولا يمكن أن تتخيلوا أن هذا الاسم هو الاسم الأصلي لأرق نجمات السينما المصرية في الخمسينيات (مديحة يسري)
وربما كان من الصعب أن تنال غنيمة كل هذه الشهرة لو أنها احتفظت باسمها الأصلي.
هدي سلطان أيضا نجمة الإغراء في الخمسينيات والستينيات كان اسمها الأصلي أكثر تعقيدا ولا يمكن
أن يعطي انطباعا بأن صاحبته يمكن أن تكون من مشاهير دنيا الفن فكان اسمها بهيجة عبد العال الحو..!!
وبالتأكيد اسم سناء جميل أسهل كثيرا من ثريا يوسف عطا الله وهو اسمها الأصلي
كما أن تحية كاريوكا أسهل بكثير من بدوية محمد كريم وقد يصلح اسم عطيات محمد البدري اسما لأي امرأة مصرية ولكنه بالتأكيد لا يصلح لممثلة، لذلك اختارت اسم كريمة مختار لتشق به طريقها إلي الشهرة وكان صاحب فكرة تغيير الاسم
هو المذيع القدير (بابا شارو) أشهر من قدم برامج الأطفال في الإذاعة المصرية، فقد كانت (عطيات البدري) تشاركه برنامجاً للأطفال وفوجيء بها ذات يوم تدخل الاستديو
وهي تبكي بحرقة وحين سألها عن السبب قالت: إن والدها يعارض عملها في الإذاعة، فوعدها (بابا شارو) بحل المشكلة وبدأ البرنامج لتفاجأ عطيات به يقول:
سمعتم معنا يا حبايبي يا أطفال (كريمة مختار) ومنذ ذلك اليوم أصبحت عطيات تحمل اسم كريمة مختار،
والمؤكد أنه لا علاقة بين اسم سيدة أمين أحمد واسم حنان شوقي، ولكنه الاسم الذي اختارته للشهرة لتلقي بسيدة إلي عالم النسيان، فحنان أخف علي السمع من اسمها الأصلي،
كما فضلت المطربة شريفة فاضل هذا الاسم علي اسم فوقية محمد ندا
وكذلك اختارت فاطمة إبراهيم البلتاجي اسم أم كلثوم لتصبح سيدة الغناء العربي،

كما غيرت فاطمة أحمد كامل شاكر اسمها إلي شادية المطربة المعتزلة.
