حول عودتها للأضواء بعد الاعتزال دام نحو 13 عاما رأت أنها حرية شخصية، وقالت: كل فنانة حرة في الطريق الذي تختاره. ونفت أن يكون الفن حراما وتساءلت بحدة: من قال هذا؟ الفن ليس حراما، وأنا استمعت إلى شرائط الشيخ الشعراوي ولم استدل على ذلك، إلى جانب أن كل أحاديث الشيخ عمر عبد الكافي لا تذهب إلى هذا المنحنى. وقالت: عودتي ليست للبحث عن الملايين فأنا مستورة والحمد الله بل أريد أن أقدم شيئا للجمهور وعندي رغبة في خدمة الناس عن طريق الفن.
تحتل الفنانة سهير رمزي ترتيبا متقدما في عدد مرات الزواج وان كانت لا تفوق عدد مرات زواج فنانة مثل تحية كاريوكا “14 مرة” فإنها تسبق ميرفت أمين “7 مرات زواج” فقد دخلت قفص الزوجية 9 مرات، وان كان زواجها من المليونير المصري سيد متولي بلغ 4 مرات لانفصالهما ثم عودتهما 3 مرات بعد الزواج الأول فان عدد مرات زواجها الحقيقي يبلغ 12 مرة، وكانت البداية أو الزواج الاول مع الفنان ابراهيم خان الذي عاش معها عام كامل
ثم تزوجت من الأمير خالد بن سعود بن عبد العزيز آل سعود الأبن التاسع للملك سعود بن عبد العزيز آل سعود ورئيس الحرس الوطني السعودي السابق الذي سبقته سمعته في الزواج من الفنانات استمر معها لعام ثم تركته
لتتزوج للمرة الثالثة من رجل الأعمال محمد الملا بعدما طلق نجوى فؤاد وعاشت في كنف الزوج 5 شهور،
ثم ارتبطت بالملحن حلمي بكر الذي منحها العصمة للمرة الأولى في حياتها الى ان انفصلت عنه بارادتها، وكان زواجها من حلمي بكر هو الزواج الرابع في حياتها.
وعن زواجها من الموسيقار حلمي بكر يقول في أحد اعترافاته: اثناء تسجيلي في الاستوديو ذات يوم كان في الاستوديو المقابل لنا والدة سهير رمزي وهي الفنانة درية أحمد وكانت آنذاك نجمة
سينمائية ومطربة أيضا، وحضرت للاستماع للحن فأعجبت به وطلبت مني التعاون وفي منزلها تعرفت على ابنتها الشابة الجميلة سهير رمزي وكانت لا تعمل بالفن وقتها وتعددت اللقاءات
وصارت بيننا قصة حب وتمت الخطوبة ثم الزواج لمدة عامين ناجحين ثم وقع الطلاق. وعن أسباب الطلاق قال: لأن سهير قررت دخول مجال الفن والنجومية
وأنا أحب أن تكون زوجتي متفرغة لي وليس معنى هذا الحجر عليها ومعامتلها بديكتاتورية وأوامر صارمة، ولكن العمل الفني بالنسبة لزوجتي شيء كنت أرفضه.
في المرة الخامسة تزوجت من الفنان محمود قابيل
وبعد انفصالها تزوجت للمرة السادسة من رجل الأعمال السوري زكريا بكار،
بعده جاء رجل الأعمال المصري سيد متولي في ترتيب الزواج السابع والثامن والتاسع والعاشر،
ثم تزوجت من الفنان فاروق الفيشاوي بعد انفصاله عن زوجته سمية الألفي وبعد كل ذلك اعتزلت الفن،
أما الزواج الثاني عشر والأخير والقائم حتى اللحظة فهو زوجها من رجل الأعمال المصري علاء الشربيني.
بدأت التمثيل طفلة ثم أصبحت مضيفة جوية وعارضة أزياء… وعادت لتمثل أكثر من 85 فيلما، توالت أفلامها ولمعت من خلال تقديم الأدوار المثيرة وأصبحت قائما مشتركا في معظم أفلام
السبعينات والثمانينات، وارتدت الحجاب واعتزلت التمثيل في العام 1993 ولكنها عادت للتمثيل بالحجاب في مسلسل “حبيب الروح” في عام 2006…
