تزوج الملك سلمان 3 مرات، وأنجب 12 ذكرا، وأنثى واحدة، معظمهم من الزوجة الأولى سلطانة بنت تركي بن أحمد السديري– رحمها الله– والأميرة فهدة بنت فلاح بن سلطان آل حِثلين العجمي، والأميرة سارة بنت فيصل بن ضيدان أبو اثنين السبيعي (طلقت)،
والسمة التي تجمع أبناء الملك التميز الدراسي والعلمي، وشغلهم مناصب رفيعة، وحصولهم علي شهادات عالية في مجالاتهم المختلفة، وتمتعهم أيضًا بقدر من حب الناس في المملكة.
ونبدأ بالأمير فهد (رحمه الله) أكبر أبناء الملك: (مستشار بوزارة الداخلية ونائبًا للمنطقة الشرقية سابقًا):
والدته هي الأميرة سلطانة بنت تركي بن أحمد السديري، ولد الأمير الراحل عام 1955 بالرياض ودرس المرحلة الابتدائية والمتوسطة والثانوية في معهد العاصمة النموذجي (الأنجال سابقًا)، وأكمل دراسته الجامعية في الولايات المتحدة الأميركية وحصل من جامعة كاليفورنيا على شهادة البكالوريوس في العلوم السياسية، وعاد إلى السعودية ليعمل مستشارًا في وزارة الداخلية، ثم نائبًا لأمير المنطقة الشرقية لمدة سبع سنوات من 1406 إلى 1413 هـ، ثم أعفي من منصبه بناء على طلبه ليتفرغ لأعماله الخاصة. تولى الإشراف على عدد من الجمعيات الخيرية والطبية والاجتماعية، آخرها عضو مجلس الإدارة والأمين العام للجمعية الخيرية لمرضى الفشل الكلوي، والتي يرأسها الأمير سلمان بن عبد العزيز.
الأمير سلطان، رائد الفضاء ورئيس هيئة السياحة والأثار بالمملكة:
الابن الثاني للملك سلمان ووالدته أيضًا هي الأميرة سلطانة بنت تركي، هو أول رائد فضاء عربي وأول رائد فضاء مسلم، ويشغل منصب رئيس الهيئة العامة للسياحة والآثار في المملكة العربية السعودية، مؤسس ورئيس مجلس إدارة نادي الطيران السعودي. يبلغ من العمر 59.
الأمير أحمد الحاصل على البكالوريوس من الولايات المتحدة:
الابن الثالث من أبناء الملك، ولد عام 1378هـ/1958م، كان رئيس مجلس إدارة المجموعة السعودية للأبحاث والتسويق، وتلقى تعليمه الابتدائي في معهد العاصمة النموذجي في مدينة الرياض وأنهى الثانوية العامة عام 1394هـ/1974م، ثم ذهب إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وفي عام 1981م التحق بجامعة كاليفورنيا في إفاين وحصل على درجة البكالوريوس في العلوم الاجتماعية، وتوفي 2002.
الأمير عبد العزيز (نائب رئيس وزير البترول بالمملكة):
الأمير عبد العزيز، الابن الرابع، ووالدته هي الأميرة سلطانة بنت تركي بن أحمد السديري أيضًا، يشغل منصب نائب وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية بالمملكة العربية السعودية.
ولد الأمير عبد العزيز في عام 1960، حصل على درجة البكالوريوس في العلوم في الإدارة الصناعية من جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن. وماجستير في الإدارة الصناعية من الجامعة نفسها في عام 1985.
الأمير فيصل “أمير المدينة المنورة”:
أمير منطقة المدينة المنورة منذ 2013، وحتى الآن هو الابن الخامس من أبناء الملك سلمان بن عبد العزيز آل سعود، ووالدته الأميرة سلطانة بنت تركي الأحمد السديري.
