This project was inspired by 2 videos. If you check them out, please let them know that Grant Thompson sent you. Thanks! 🙂 First was a “lost foam casting” tutorial by “The Art of Weapons” (http://bit.ly/IBRamboneSlingshot) and a Rubber Band gun designed by “RBGuns” (http://bit.ly/IBM9RubberBandGun). I modified the template from RBGuns to make the styrofoam mold.

WARNING:

Charcoal foundries can reach temperatures in excess of 1,000ºC, which is well above the melting point of hobbyists. This project should only be attempted with adequate knowledge and training, proper protective safety gear, and in a fire resistant area with adequate ventilation. The sparks flying from the foundry can ignite fires, and the fumes from burning dross can be toxic. Use caution and common sense. Be safe and have fun, but always remember that any project or experiment is at your own risk.

Project History & More Info:

The gun is solid aluminum, made from melted down soda cans.

I spent over 100 hours of time, and 7 styrofoam prototypes to make this video. About a third of the time was spent filing and sanding the gun. Each time I poured a casting for the gun, the trigger guard wouldn’t complete all the way through, so I kept making new styrofoam guns, modifying the designs slightly until it worked.

Once I got a fairly clean casting, I put 2 days into filing down rough points, and sanding them smooth.

The gun could use a little more work, and it’s not perfect, but this experiment was mainly a proof of concept that nearly anything you can imagine can be made fairly easily with the “lost foam casting” technique. Overall, I really am happy with the gun though! It weighs 556 grams, and is really quite smooth to feel.

For future projects, I plan to work more with green sand casting. I believe it will leave a nicer finish overall and won’t require as many prototypes to get it right 🙂 Instead of foam, wood plugs can be used to make the molds, or even real weapons for that matter.

شريهان وإسعاد يونس هما فنانتان تشتركان في امتلاك طائرة واحدة، لزواجهما من رجل الأعمال الأردني الفلسطيني الأصل، علاء الخواجة، حيث تزوجت «شريهان» سرا منه عندما كان متزوجا من الفنانة إسعاد يونس، ولم يعلنا زواجهما إلا بعد إنجاب ابنتهما «لؤلؤة»، وتعد علاقة إسعاد بشيريهان من أنجح العلاقات بين صديقتين وتجمع بينهما مواقف ممتازة قد لا يصدقها أحد،

6-سمية الخشاب

في 2003، كشفت «سمية» النقاب عن زواجها من ملياردير سعودي رفضت الإفصاح عن اسمه سواء وقت الزواج أو بعده، بدعوى أنها حرية شخصية واكتفت بأن التعارف بينهما تم أثناء عرض مسرحية «كده أوكيه» حينما حضر لمشاهدة العرض فحدث التقارب والحب ثم أرسل طائرة خاصة لاصطحابها إلى لندن بعد أن تم الزواج بالقاهرة،

5-شيرين وجدي

انضمت المطربة، شيرين وجدي، لقائمة الفنانات المصريات اللواتي يتنقلن على متن طائرة خاصة يملكها زوجها رجل الأعمال أحد أكبر أصحاب الوكالات الإعلانية في مصر ومنتج برنامج «البيت بيتك» الذي كان يعرض على التلفزيون المصري، إيهاب طلعت، الذي كان يحرص على مرافقة زوجته في كل رحلة، ويدعو عدداً من الأصدقاء والملحنين للسفر على متن طائرته الخاصة مجاناً،

4-شيرين سيف النصر

في عام 1996، تخلت الفنانة شيرين سيف النصر عن فنها، وقررت الاعتزال والزواج من رجل الأعمال السعودي، عبد العزيز الإبراهيمي، شقيق صاحب قنوات MBC، والشركة السعودية المصرية للتنمية السياحية، وسافرت معه إلى لندن، ووقتها خصص لها طائرة خاصة لتنقلاتها،

الراقصة تزاحم النجمات في الجو أيضا، وكانت قبل زواجها العرفي من رجل الأعمال، حسام أبو الفتوح، تشترط وضع طائرة خاصة لنقلها مع أعضاء فرقتها من مصر إلى أي بلد عربي لإحياء حفلات الزفاف الخاصة، وبعد ذلك اشترت طائرة خاصة من طراز حديث أميركية الصنع، تتسع لـ15 شخصاً،

2-إلهام شاهين
إلهام نفسها قالت في البرنامج التليفزيوني «الجريئة» الذي تقدمه المخرجة، إيناس الدغيدي، أن رجل الأعمال رامي لكح كان أحيانًا يضع طائرته الخاصة تحت أمرها،

تعتبر كل من الفنانة ميرفت أمين وهدى رمزي من اللواتي كانوا يمتلكن طائرات خاصة وذلك عندما تزوجت كلاهما من رجل الأعمال الراحل مصطفى البليدي، الذي تزوج الفنانة هدى رمزي حيث كانت الزوجة الثانية، وبعد طلاقه منها تزوج من الفنانة ميرفت أمين، قبل أن ينفصلا أيضًا،

In case you’re wondering, here’s a little bit of information about the differences between alligators and crocodiles:
– Alligators have u-shaped snouts.
– Crocodiles have more v-shaped snouts.
– Alligators’ upper teeth often show when the mouth is closed.
– Crocodiles’ upper and lower teeth show when the mouth is closed.
– Alligators generally live in fresh water.
– Crocodiles generally live in salt water or water that is brackish (has more salt than typical fresh water.)
-Neither make very good pets!
