The new 2012 15″ MacBook Pro should sport an all new design, Retina Display and Intel Ivy Bridge Core i5 and Core i7 processors. The 2012 MacBook Air 11″ and 13″ should be also get new CPUs along with a Retina Display. The 2012 iMac 21.5″ and 27″ will likely be smaller updates just with Ivy Bridge. The 2012 Mac Pro should be all new with Intel Xeon processors and a redesign.

New 3D imagery for Google Earth

Since 2006, we’ve had textured 3D buildings in Google Earth, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll begin adding 3D models to entire metropolitan areas to Google Earth in the near future.

Thanks to new imagery rendering techniques and computer vision, we’re able to create 3D cityscapes, complete with buildings, terrain and even landscaping, from 45-degree aerial imagery.

By the end of the year, we aim to have 3D coverage for metropolitan areas with a combined population of 300 million people.
