MUNCHIES is on a food odyssey through the North of England, traveling from coast to coast and stopping off everywhere in between to find out what people up here like to eat. Though the area is known for its accents and its music, its friendliness and its football, the only thing believed to be worse than Northern weather is Northern food (generally speaking).
But in this series, Ben will go beyond the clichés of chip butties and sausage rolls to uncover a land that serves its people luxuries such as lobster and creative curries. He’ll learn how to skin rabbits, crimp pie crusts, and put lettering in Blackpool rock. To those who think the North is just fake tans and flat caps, the MUNCHIES Guide To The North will leave everyone wondering why they don’t live there already.

The Mexican Burger: a home-baked, fluffy and sweet cornbread bun encasing a bed of smoky and spiced black beans cooked in ham stock. On top sits slow-cooked, melt in the mouth, chilli brisket of beef topped with crunchy salty corn chips, fresh, tangy, chunky guacamole and a dollop of cooling sour cream. Served up with a side of sweet, spicy and crunchy corn.
