Veterans’ Voices 2020: General Peter Chiarelli, U.S. Army (Ret.)

Veterans served their nation selflessly, but service sometimes weighs heavily on their mental health, and stigma can be a barrier to seeking help. With support from Google’s veteran community, a group of U.S. veterans ranging from a Google employee to a retired Admiral shared firsthand stories about the value of coming forward and asking for help.

In this video, retired General Peter Chiarelli, former Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, advocates for reducing stigma around post-traumatic stress, highlighting that invisible wounds are as real as visible ones.
